The LTC Jaimie E. Leonard Warwick Crew Member Scholarship ($1500.00)
This scholarship is awarded to a coach-nominated Warwick High School Crew athlete (male or female) who is awesome, humble, and able to persevere in the face of challenges, a mentor to others, someone who does not give up. The winner of this scholarship is recognized as someone who values the camaraderie of the sport. The Warwick Crew Coach selects the winner of this scholarship.

Killian Bauman, 2024 HiD Crew Scholarship winner
Killian Bauman received the $1,500 LTC Jaimie E. Leonard Warwick Crew Member Scholarship. He is a senior and a Captain of the Crew team. According to his Coach, Killian is always the first to arrive and the last to leave practice sessions. Killian always helps the coaches set up for practice and for races. Killian leads by example and his best leadership quality is the attention he gives to new team members, who he tirelessly helps and encourages to succeed.
The HERo Scholarship ($2500.00) for Excellence in Community Service
This scholarship is awarded to a Warwick High School student who represents intelligence, leadership and concern for his/her community. Special consideration will be given to students who are actively making a difference in their community. We also consider if the student has overcome certain obstacles in their lifetime, however this is not a requirement.
Samantha Brady, 2024 HERo Scholarship winner
Samantha Brady was awarded the $2,500.00 HERo Scholarship. Samantha defines leadership as “being able to inspire and guide others toward a goal in order to make a positive impact,” and she described a good leader as someone who is good at communicating, able to compromise, and can push people to their full potential. Samantha demonstrated leadership through school and civic activities in the community. Samantha was in National Honor Society, Student Senate, and served as President of the Homecoming Committee in her junior and senior years, as well as participating in choir and orchestra. Samantha volunteered extensively and always found ways to help those around her. Following graduation from Warwick Valley High School in June, Samantha plans to attend SUNY Oswego.
